Marsal Education is seeking an experienced professional to join our collaborative recruitment and admissions team. Under the supervision of the Director of Recruitment and Admissions, you will support efforts in the discovery, cultivation and enrollment of a high-quality undergraduate and graduate applicant pool. Whether you have a background in education or are simply passionate about its transformative power, this role places you at the heart of efforts to connect students with opportunities that reach far beyond teaching alone. This position will provide significant opportunities to collaborate with academic, campus, and community college partners and also opportunities to enhance our digital messaging and outreach to students.

Responsibilities*

 

Manage Program Recruitment, Yield, and Partnerships (60%)

  • Serve as the primary recruitment contact for prospective and admitted students in assigned academic programs, from inquiry through enrollment.
  • Develop individualized outreach strategies to support application completion, enrollment, and matriculation.
  • Provide one-on-one advising, presentations, information sessions, and proactive outreach to students and families.
  • Monitor recruitment pipelines and use data to identify trends, opportunities, and students who may need additional engagement.
  • Develop relationships with high school and college counselors, community organizations, campus partners, alumni, and other strategic audiences.
  • Conduct targeted outreach, presentations, and virtual and in-person information sessions to expand awareness and interest in assigned programs.
  • Identify and develop new recruitment opportunities and partnerships that support enrollment goals.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to align recruitment strategies with program priorities and the student experience.

Create Engaging Recruitment Experiences (30%)

  • Plan and execute recruitment and yield events, including campus visits, school visits, information sessions, admitted-student programs, and other student experiences.
  • Coordinate faculty, staff, current students, alumni, and campus partners in recruitment activities.
  • Develop engaging experiences that help prospective students understand and experience the distinctive academic and community opportunities available through assigned programs.
  • Represent Marsal at internal and external recruitment events, including occasional evenings, weekends, and travel.
  • Guide prospective students through admissions requirements, application processes, deadlines, and next steps.
  • Develop targeted communications, presentations, and resources that clearly and authentically communicate program opportunities.
  • Use Salesforce CRM and other university systems to document student engagement and support coordinated recruitment efforts.
  • Evaluate recruitment activities and student feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team and academic partners on annual recruitment and yield planning and special initiatives.

Coordinate Student Ambassadors and Front Desk Coverage (10%)

  • Hire, onboard, and train student ambassadors to support recruitment and the prospective-student experience.
  • Coordinate ambassador schedules, projects, and assignments across recruitment activities and office operations.
  • Supervise ambassador work, approve hours, and provide ongoing guidance and feedback.
  • Serve as the office lead for coordinating front desk coverage, ensuring consistent staffing and a welcoming experience for visitors.
  • Maintain current front desk procedures, training materials, and resources for student ambassadors.
  • Serve as backup front desk coverage 1 day/week if student ambassadors are absent

Required Qualifications*

 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 1+ year of professional admissions, student services, or teaching experience
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; solid presentation skills with experience presenting to groups
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities and produce timely results
  • Self-starter and motivated with ability to work toward goals and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Desire to work on a team that places a high value on quality customer service, team orientation, and planning
  • Must have access to reliable transportation and a willingness to travel and work some evenings and weekends
  • Proficient computer skills

Work Locations

 

The Marsal Family School of Education is located at 610 E. University, Ann Arbor, MI 48109. While the majority of the work days will be on site at the Marsal School, on campus, or at recruitment locations, this role will allow for a flexible schedule of up to two days per week performed remotely. Flexible work agreements are reviewed annually and are subject to change dependent upon the business needs of the school and/or university requirements.
