The College of Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented Web Content Specialist to join our team.
Appointment details
- This is a part-time position with a negotiable schedule of 20-32 hours per week.
- The specific number of weekly hours will be mutually determined with the selected candidate.
- The salary will be prorated accordingly based on the posted full-time salary of $60,000.
- This is a 12-month term-limited position, with the possibility of a six-month extension based on workload and funding availability.
In this term-limited role, you will be responsible for the evaluation and improvement of various websites. You will serve as a key contributor to the University of Michigan Engineering digital presence by updating content, improving SEO and usability, and ensuring all platforms adhere to high standards of accessibility and functionality set by the Office of Communications & Marketing (C&M). In doing so, you will help support the College's Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies.
You will be responsible for evaluating content, design and functionality. Using clear, data-informed rationale, you will present web recommendations to stakeholders, expertly navigate their questions with C&M team support, and implement site improvements efficiently and thoroughly.
