The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Research Area Specialist Intermediate - Program Coordinator to provide operational leadership for the Incentives2Quit (I2Q) program, a contingency management-based perinatal smoking cessation initiative. This position is responsible for overseeing program operations, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring the successful implementation of program activities through collaboration with internal teams, clinical partners, community organizations, funders, and external vendors.
 

The Program Coordinator ensures program activities are carried out efficiently, comply with organizational and funding requirements, and support the overall goals of the I2Q program. Duties may evolve over time to meet changing program and organizational needs.

PROGRAM OPERATIONS & LEADERSHIP 

• Provides day-to-day operational leadership for the I2Q program and coordinates program activities to support organizational goals.
• Provides staff oversight, including workflow coordination, scheduling, time approval, vacation approval, and operational support.
• Leads team meetings, coordinates priorities, and supports process improvements to enhance program effectiveness.

PARTNER & STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT 

• Serves as a key point of contact with clinical partners, community organizations, funders, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinates partner communications, community engagement activities, and program presentatio
• Supports relationships with stakeholders to advance program goals and implementation.

REPORTING, DATA & PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION 

• Prepares monthly and quarterly reports for funders and stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and completion of required deliverables.
• Collaborates with Finance to review program financial information and ensure reporting accurately reflects program activities.
• Oversees program data tracking, documentation, and reporting processes to support quality improvement and program evaluation.

TECHNOLOGY & COMPLIANCE 

• Coordinates with external software vendors to communicate program needs, troubleshoot issues, and support system improvements.
• Ensures program activities align with HIPAA, organizational policies, funding requirements, and quality standards.

• 4 to 5 years related experience.

• A Bachelor degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted, including relevant undergraduate and graduate student work experience

   

• Experience working with Redcap, EnrollNow (Ripple), Qualtrics, MiChart, Data Direct, Microsoft Office.
• Experience of behavioral health research with human subjects
• Experience working with participants with tobacco use, alcohol use disorders and/or other substance use.

• Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, psychology, health informatics, risk management, or a related field.
• Supervisory and financial management experience 
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams with competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with digital health interventions, mobile health applications, contingency management platforms, and technology-enabled behavioral health research.
• Expertise in remote research study recruitment methodology

This is a full time, M-F 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This position may require occasional non-traditional hours as needed to meet program deadlines.

This is a hybrid position with weekly in-person requirements at an offsite campus location in Ann Arbor, MI.
