College Prep instructors will demonstrate exemplary service and expertise in their given subject area. Specific responsibilities include providing the following via remote instruction to a group of 20-25 scholars in the 10th OR 11th grade:
- Facilitating synchronous whole group and/or half group session with guest presenters and scholars on college preparatory topics
- Leading small group discussions and curricular activities based on workshop materials
- Monitoring, documenting, and assessing scholar in class engagement and homework in order to assess learning and provide interventions to struggling scholars.
- Ensuring scholars are fully and consistently engaged during class time
- Providing 1:1 or small consultation with scholars around select topics or as specifically requested by administrative staff.
- Maintaining open lines of communication with WP staff about academic and discipline issues through various mediums including phone calls, notes, progress reports, etc.
The required dates for Saturday synchronous virtual instruction are listed below, with class meetings generally meeting between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm.

In addition to these asynchronous teaching and learning commitments, it is expected that you would be available to work up to an additional 20 hours during the fall session supporting any 1:1 or small group consultation that might be required and to include a half hour prep for each class meeting.
We are also seeking some portion of college prep instructors to assist us with the execution of in-person programming that is complementary to the 10th and 11th grade synchronous programming and may include engagement with 12th grade scholars. The dates and approximate times of these in-person sessions are as follows:
- October 17, 2026 (~9:00am-2:00pm)
- October 24, 2026 (~ 9:00am - 2:00pm)
- November 14, 2026 (~9:00am-2:00pm)
- December 5, 2026 (~9:00 am - 2:00 pm)
