Bachelor's degree
0-2 yrs of relevant experience investigating, responding to, and analyzing all forms of harassment and discrimination
High productivity in a fast-paced environment with prescriptive timelines
Ability to effectively assess and respond to all forms of harassment and discrimination as outlined in university policy
Knowledge of, experience working with, and ability to apply relevant federal and state civil rights laws, regulations, and guidance
Ability to provide support in the implementation of UM policies and procedures related to civil rights compliance
Ability to resolve matters promptly and effectively
Ability to prioritize tasks, including managing multiple matters while meeting deadlines
Ability to provide consulting, educational programming, and to identify resources to promote a welcoming, supportive, inclusive environment free from discrimination and harassment
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a manner consistent with the university's mission and culture
Commitment to work outside of regular business hours on occasion, if needed. This may include email response, sending outreach materials, etc. on weekends or evenings
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
Competence using Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite, Adobe, Dropbox,
and Databases
