Job Summary

 

The Gilbert S. Omenn Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics, University of Michigan is seeking a Research Assistant II (Temp) employee. The Research Associate will support computational biomedical research projects in the PI's laboratory. The position will involve working with research datasets and assisting with the implementation, evaluation, and application of computational and statistical methods.

Responsibilities*

 

Specific responsibilities may include: 

  • Processing, organizing, and performing quality control of research datasets.
  • Conducting statistical and computational analyses using established research protocols.
  • Implementing and evaluating computational, statistical, and/or machine-learning methods.
  • Performing literature reviews relevant to assigned research projects.
  • Generating figures, tables, and summaries of research findings.
  • Documenting computational workflows, methods, and results to support reproducible research.
  • Participating in research meetings and discussing analytical results with the PI and other research team members.
  • Assisting with preparation of research results for presentations, manuscripts, and other scholarly products.
  • Performing other research-related duties as appropriate for the assigned project.

Background Screening
