Duties of the ALAL 285/Adjunct Lecturer position include teaching, ongoing development of course curriculum, developing course materials, and evaluating and grading students. Responsibilities also include:
- Teach ALA 285 in alignment with GEPP goals and the Center's Student Success Model.
- Develop, refine, and maintain course materials that support graduate education preparation, research development, academic planning, and professional growth.
- Provide instruction, feedback, and mentoring to GEPP students enrolled in the course.
- Coordinate course content with GEPP programming, graduate student mentor support, and related student development activities.
- Assess student learning and maintain instructional records in accordance with university policies.
- Collaborate with the Center and UROP leadership to ensure the course supports students' broader preparation for graduate education, advanced research, and post-baccalaureate pathways.
Course Title(s): ALA 285: Post-Baccalaureate Preparation.
Course Objectives: This year-long course is designed to help participants of UROP's Advancing Post-Baccalaureate Preparation (APP) program explore and apply to graduate school. In addition to preparing materials and applications, the course will prepare students for the transition to graduate school and how to succeed in a post-baccalaureate environment.
