The UMSN invites applications for a full-time, 12-month clinical track faculty position beginning in the 2027-2028 academic year. We seek accomplished clinical scholars with a strong background in nursing practice, demonstrated expertise in a practice role, and a proven record of teaching and scholarship. Faculty will be responsible for didactic and/or clinical instruction in the following undergraduate specialty areas:

• Behavioral Health Nursing
• Medical-Surgical Nursing
• Obstetrics Nursing
• Pediatric Nursing

All undergraduate courses are delivered in person. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in clinical education, healthcare delivery, and student mentorship. NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

• Doctorate in Nursing.
• A nursing license in the State of Michigan is required for this position (current licensure or willingness to obtain licensure).
• Demonstrated excellent communication, networking and relationship building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to participate in the development and implementation of innovative curricular activities.
• Demonstrated clinical teaching ability and practice excellence in a defined relevant area of clinical expertise.
• Current clinical experience in a practice relevant role.
• Evidence of increasing service to the profession and academic community.
• Collaborates with faculty regarding visionary educational programs.
• A record of scholarly attainment including publications, evidence-based practice guidelines and other forms of scholarship.
• Prior to the start date must be compliant with all health requirements including standard precautions such as Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, orientations, licenses/certifications, policies, and procedures both internal and external to the University for your assigned classroom(s) and/or clinical site(s).
