Department Summary:
University Health and Counseling (UHC) is part of the Division of Student Life at the University of Michigan. The UHC Physical Therapy clinic provides physical therapy to currently enrolled students at the University of Michigan with acute and chronic injuries or illnesses.

We support the health and well-being of the campus community through a public health-informed approach that emphasizes support, prevention, education, and treatment. The physical therapy department staff includes physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, student volunteers and student employees who provide clinic support, and clerical staff.
Position Summary:
To assess, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy treatment programs for patients with acute and chronic injuries, diseases, disorders, and disabilities to relieve pain, develop or restore physical function, wellness, fitness, and quality of life as it relates to movement and health, as prescribed by the referring clinician. To delegate to and supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs). To supervise Physical Therapy students in their clinical internships at UHS.
