Job Summary

 

The Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology is seeking applications for a 50% LEO Lecturer I position teaching MCDB 310, "Introductory Biochemistry." The responsibilities will include teaching three discussion sections, general course communication/support, and holding office hours. The appointment is for Fall Term 2026 only (August 31 - December 21, 2026).  

Terms and conditions of employment for this position as posted are subject to the provisions of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the University of Michigan and the Lecturers Employee Organization.

Required Qualifications*

 

The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field and be knowledgeable in the topics covered in MCDB 310, "Introductory Biochemistry," at the University of Michigan.  

Desired Qualifications*

 

Qualified candidates should be fluent in the area of expertise and exhibit evidence of excellent teaching skills.
