Provides direct patient care support to pediatric and adult patients within the Radiology Department by assisting Radiologic Technologists in the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centered imaging services. Responsibilities include preparing patients and examination rooms, assisting with patient positioning and transfers, setting up supplies and equipment, and providing support during imaging procedures, which may include safely assisting with patient immobilization when necessary. Transports patients to and from the Radiology Department and other designated locations while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Delivers prompt, courteous, and professional service to patients, families, visitors, and staff in accordance with Radiology Gold Service Excellence standards.

• Assists Radiologic Technologists with delegated patient care activities and imaging procedures. 
• Prepares patients, examination rooms, and equipment prior to imaging procedures. 
• Assists with patient positioning, transfers, lifting, and safe patient handling using appropriate equipment and techniques. 
• Assists in maintaining patient safety, comfort, dignity, and privacy throughout the imaging experience. 
• Assists with patient immobilization during imaging examinations as directed by the Radiologic Technologist. 
• Monitors, sets up, cleans, and maintains clinical equipment to ensure operational readiness. 
• Obtains, records, and documents patient vital signs and other delegated clinical information as appropriate. 
• Stocks examination rooms and specialized imaging areas with supplies and equipment; monitors inventory levels and communicates supply needs.
• Ensures imaging rooms and patient care areas are clean, organized, and prepared for patient care. Transports patients safely to and from imaging areas and other designated locations utilizing appropriate transport equipment and infection prevention practices. 
• Assists with processing patient care orders and utilizes the electronic medical record and other computerized systems as required. 
• Maintains effective communication with patients, families, Radiologic Technologists, nurses, providers, and other members of the healthcare team. 
• Adheres to departmental, institutional, infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory policies and procedures. 
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Current CPR/BLS certification. 
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to utilize electronic medical record systems. 
• Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills. 
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion. 
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Previous experience in a patient care or healthcare setting. 

• Experience working in a radiology or imaging department. 

• Knowledge of safe patient handling and transport techniques
