Job Summary

 

The Department of the History of Art at the University of Michigan invites applications for a LEO Lecturer I position in Chinese art history from any period at 66.67% effort. This appointment is anticipated to start August 25, 2026, and will support one of the department's major undergraduate areas. The Lecturer will be expected to teach a 2-2 course load, comprising one lecture course and one seminar, in the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 semesters.

Responsibilities*

 

As a Lecturer I you will have responsibility to coordinate with the course syllabi and materials; deliver course content to students; and provide student assessments including grading and feedback. 

Required Qualifications*

 

Master's in Chinese art or a relevant specialized field

Additional Information

 

The successful applicant will be offered a two academic period appointment for the 2026-2027 academic year, from August 25, 2026 to May 24, 2027, with a possibility of renewal.
