Job Summary

 

The College of Pharmacy (COP) Accommodations Specialist will support equitable access for students by coordinating exam accommodations and make-up exams for COP students courses. This role serves as a primary point of contact for students, faculty, the Testing Accommodations Center, and campus partners to ensure exams are scheduled, staffed, and delivered confidentially and in compliance with all approved accommodations.

Responsibilities*

 
  • Schedule exams with approved accommodations and make-up exams for College of Pharmacy students and courses.
  • Prepare and organize exam materials for in-house proctoring, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and secure handling.
  • Submit exam materials to the Testing Accommodations Center in a timely manner.
  • Reserve and coordinate appropriate testing spaces in collaboration with College of Pharmacy facilities staff.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the Testing Accommodations Center regarding exam scheduling, logistics, and related processes.
  • Communicate exam scheduling details, updates, and instructions to students in a timely, clear, and supportive manner.
  • Serve as a key liaison to faculty regarding approved accommodations and related updates for students in College of Pharmacy courses.
  • Participate in meetings and coordination with College of Pharmacy administration, staff, and Student Accessibility and Accommodation Services staff related to accommodations and student support, including accommodations related to experiential education.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and provide oversight and training for GSIs and/or staff supporting exam proctoring.
  • Proctor exams as needed and coordinate coverage to ensure uninterrupted testing operations.
  • Support scheduling and proctoring for spring re-study exams as needed.
  • Develop and contribute to annual reporting related to College of Pharmacy exam accommodation support, operations, and service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve exam accommodation processes, communication, and coordination.
  • Provide staff support for college-wide events.
  • Provide office coverage support as needed.

Required Qualifications*

 
  • Relevant experience in student services, such as advising, registration and records, academic support, testing services, or another student support area within higher education.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff. 
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships and partner effectively across teams. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or similar productivity tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Google Workspace tools such as Docs and Sheets.

Desired Qualifications*

 
  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in higher education, student services, academic support, testing services, or a related area.
  • Experience using a student information system, such as PeopleSoft; experience with MPathways Student Administration is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating exam scheduling, exam accommodations, make-up exams, or related student support services.
  • Working knowledge of FERPA, ADA, and accessibility-related best practices, including confidentiality, compliance, and appropriate handling of student information.

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

Modes of Work

 

Hybrid position with a typical 3-day in-person schedule; additional in-person days may be required during heavy exam periods to meet proctoring and operational needs. During the onboarding process and training (the first 6-9 months), in-person work will be expected.
