Job Summary

 

We are seeking an experienced cardiovascular medicine researcher with a focus on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and variants of the gene MYBPC3. Successful applicant will be expected to establish a research program (either independent- or team science-based) and design and develop experiments; including scientific writing, and publishing and presenting results. Successful applicant will have the opportunity for academic advancement within a mentored research program. Opportunity for teaching students, lab personnel and fellows in a laboratory setting.

Required Qualifications*

 

Applicants should hold a PhD and/or MD, and have research experience in the area of cardiovascular medicine, with specific training in human stem-cell derived cardiomyocyte models, engineered cardiac tissue platforms, cardiac genetics, and the study of contractile, calcium-handling, and electrophysiological mechanisms underlying inherited cardiomyopathies. Evidence of scholarly ability (e.g., record of publications in peer-reviewed journals, acquisition/potential of external funding, and presentation experience) is expected.
