As a graduate of the Wolverine Pathways (WP) program, the WP Alumni Relations Fellow will serve as a key contributor and programming lead for Wolverine Pathways alumni relations efforts. Responsible for designing and executing alumni-focused programming and professional development, the Fellow will coordinate volunteer opportunities and social functions to keep alumni connected to each other and to current WP scholars. The Fellow will also foster intergenerational professional learning, mentoring, and networking opportunities by leveraging the interests and commitments of University of Michigan (U-M) alumni and the ever-growing population of WP alumni. As the first point of contact for WP alumni within and beyond the U-M Ann Arbor campus, the Fellow will enhance WP's ability to remain connected to its graduates and track their progress and outcomes longitudinally. The Fellow will also have an opportunity to network and build relationships with representatives of local and national college access and success efforts to support the goals of Wolverine Pathways and their own professional development. The Fellow will otherwise assist WP in mounting programming for current scholars. Ideal candidates will possess a commitment to championing causes that serve low-income individuals and communities of color. Proven ability to work in diverse context and facilitate inclusive environments or engagement are essential to this role. Fellows will have access to funds to facilitate their professional development and opportunities for personal and professional growth such as local conferences.
The WP Fellowship is a one-year appointment with the opportunity to extend the appointment into a second year if staff performance and programming goals permit.
