Drawing on industry expertise, the Associate Director (or MBA Career Coach) will engage MBA students by creating a set of integrated experiences designed to prepare students for a successful job search. The Associate Director will engage with the relevant communities and members, including student clubs, alumni, faculty and corporate partners to cultivate student interest and preparedness in the assigned area. You will consult with Ross International MBA and PTMBA students looking for opportunities among all areas in addition to those MBAs focused on the following areas: Operations, and Tauber Institute students.
Each year, a large percentage of international students comprise the MBA population, which requires the MBA Coach to advise and work closely with international students from a variety of countries to help with job candidate preparation for roles within the United States (and curate resources for job pursuits abroad). Reporting to the Director of MBA Career Coaching & Education, this position contributes to the team's educational strategy and direction, and collaborates with other MBA Associate Directors to develop content and programming.
This hybrid position is based in Ann Arbor, MI, with an expectation of a minimum of three days per week on-site. The role may require occasional domestic travel, on-call responsibilities, and work outside standard business hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends. This position is included in the bargaining unit represented by the University Staff United (USU), which represents bargaining unit members in all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain that authorization throughout employment.
