Job Summary

 

The Department of Radiology is seeking a full-time administrative professional to support the Nuclear Medicine Division (11 faculty, 1-3 fellows) and Cardiovascular Nuclear Medicine (5) faculty. This role provides comprehensive administrative and office support to faculty, staff, fellows, and division leadership, including primary support for the Nuclear Medicine Division Director. Reporting to the Department's Business Manager, the position is part of a broader administrative support team and follows a hybrid remote-work model.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic academic and clinical environment and demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a positive, service-oriented approach. Success in this role requires the ability to work independently, collaborate effectively as part of a team, and manage responsibilities with minimal direction.

Under FSLA, incumbents in this position are nonexempt.

Responsibilities*

 

General Support

  • Provide high-level support to Nuclear Medicine faculty, staff, and lead technologists. This includes but is not limited to, scheduling meetings, completing meeting agendas and minutes, scheduling conference rooms, and sending reminders.
  • Coordinate meetings and conferences, some which are in-person and others virtual. Assist with A/V when needed.
  • Complete faculty schedule with little to no intervention. Make adjustments and changes as they arise.
  • Maintain curriculum vitae (CV), ensuring accuracy.
  • Manage annual membership renewals and license renewals.
  • Monitor and review expenditures for materials and travel.
  • Order supplies and schedule deliveries/pick-ups as necessary.
  • Proofread, edit, and produce documents representing the division. 
  • As needed, serve as customer service point of contact for the office, screening, prioritizing, and routing inquiries and correspondence following established procedures.
  • Track and monitor dosimetry badges.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support goals and objectives of the division.

Nuclear Medicine Fellowship Program

  • Serve as coordinator of the Nuclear Medicine Fellowship program.
  • Schedule interviews and travel for candidates, communicating clearly and serving as point-of-contact during their visits, if in-person.
  • Complete hiring and onboarding of new fellows.
  • Serve as point-of-contact for fellows throughout their training.

Required Qualifications*

 
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4 years of experience 
  • Strong computer skills and exceptional written and verbal/interpersonal skills
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office applications 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Exercises considerable discretion and independent judgment within scope of projects

 

Desired Qualifications*

 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of administrative experience
  • Experience with academic health centers
  • Reasonable knowledge of University policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Emburse, Elements, Wolverine Access

Background Screening

 

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
