The University of Michigan, School of Nursing is currently seeking a Research Assistant to support the Principal Investigator on two grant funded studies. The first is a pilot intervention study to improve physical activity behaviors of older adults with pre-frailty who reside in independent living communities. The second study assesses whether smartphone-based cognitive tests, paired with physical activity monitoring can be used to measure cognitive function and physical acitivity in real time among older adults in assisted living communities.
The specific duties of the position include (but are not limited to):
- Participate in the recruitment, screening, scheduling, and follow-up of research participants.
- Manage, track, and record data from physical activity monitors, physical performance tests, cognitive tests, and survey questionnaires.
- General administrative support of the project, data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
