Responsibilities*

 

The candidate will obtain a basic understanding of the operations of a research lab and the importance of proper organization of materials and cleanliness required for experiments. This job involves cleaning, wrapping, labeling, and sterilizing glassware and other fragile lab equipment for biological and chemical labs; cleaning tables, sinks, and benches; receiving and distributing samples of material; filling reagent bottles; operating gas, steam, and heat sterilizing equipment; dispose of refuse. The job also involves some data entry, ordering, and maintaining supplies, along with other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications*

 

As the candidate gains experience, they will be able to learn the culture of primary cells or cell lines, immunostaining, PCR, Western blotting, and ELISA, etc. 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are important
Must be competent in working on a computer and have 1 year of high school.

Desired Qualifications*

 

Student interested in Biomedical Engineering and Medicine. Willing to learn protocols to gain experience in the field.
