The Research Assistant will support a range of research activities related to ongoing projects in the laboratory. Responsibilities will include animal husbandry and colony maintenance, routine animal health checks during weekends and holiday breaks, behavioral testing, cell isolation, tissue preparation, cryostat sectioning, qPCR, immunohistochemistry, image acquisition, and data collection and analysis. The Research Assistant will also contribute to the preparation of abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations for national and international conferences. This position requires strong attention to detail, reliability, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a willingness to participate in all aspects of the research process.
