Why Join the Department of Social Work HIV and AIDS Treatment Program team?
As a member of this team, you will play a vital role in assisting persons with HIV or AIDS (PWHA) with identifying appropriate resources for health care needs and be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team. You will also have membership as part of the Guest Assistance Program (GAP) BSW team in the Department of Social Work. This role will assist patients with navigating financial and/or insurance issues and will connect and/or enroll patients in assistance programs for medication and healthcare needs. You will provide support to current social workers in the HIV/AIDS Treatment Program (HATP) as appropriate. The outcome of these services is to support patients and families, to help maximize their participation in and benefit from health care, and to assist in removing barriers to continuity of care.
