- Reviews schedule to identify changes in daily operations and develops schedule rotation to support skill maintenance and cross-training for all Medical Assistants.
Maintains current competencies and mandatory training. Attends mandatory clinic and hospital training programs, as appropriate.
Participates in, prepares for, attends, and may lead meetings such as daily management huddles, rounds, and MA meetings.
Performs administrative and clinical operational tasks and duties assigned.
Participate in the implementation of new services or use of new equipment.
Oversees and is involved in the ordering process while striving to meet budgetary expectations.
Participates in Medication Management Surveys and may manage the inventory and ordering in the medication room within their scope of practice.
Coordinates use of exam/procedure room space.
Actively participates in regulatory compliance activities and ensures that the Regulatory Readiness checklists are completed and submitted. Responsible for action planning related to their role in clinic during any regulatory readiness or actual regulatory surveys.
Participates in value stream analysis for new products or services.
Participates in the generation of ideas and adoption processes of ways to improve workflows and enhance patient satisfaction.
Management and oversite of timely response to medication refill requests via Inbasket as well as insurance pre-auth in a fast-paced, high patient-volume ACU.
Management and oversite of MA schedules to ensure adequate coverage for in-person visits.
