As a Production Specialist on the MSA team, your primary focus will be supporting productions onsite in our audio and video studios.
The Audio Studios include three bookable rooms designed to foster experimentation, research, and the development of skills in audio production. Audio Studio A features five rooms: a control room, a main tracking room, two isolation booths, and an amp room. Audio Studios B and C are advanced recording laboratories conducive to a wide range of activities, including electronic music composition, recording experimentation, audio mixing for motion pictures, scientific investigations, and acoustic studies.
The Video Studio is a spacious, 3,000-square-foot production studio equipped with comprehensive audio, video, and lighting equipment available to the entire University of Michigan community. It serves as a collaborative space where faculty, students, visiting educators, researchers, and artists from diverse backgrounds come together to create high-quality video content. Whether employing traditional production methods or exploring innovative technologies, projects in this studio exemplify learning, teaching, and exploration in media production.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong and developing skills in audio, video, and the performing arts to work directly with students and faculty, enabling their creative projects in our studios.
This position reports to the Managing Producer of the studio(s) and does not include direct supervisory responsibilities.
