Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated researcher to support an interdisciplinary study investigating how NHE9-regulated endosomal pH controls neuroprotective exosome secretion and microglial polarization during ischemic stroke recovery. This American Heart Association (AHA) -funded work combines cell biology, bioengineering, microscopy, biophysics, molecular profiling, and AI-based predictive modeling to map exosome fate and improve stroke recovery mechanisms.

Required Qualifications*

Bachelor's degree in  Bioengineering, Neuroscience, Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, or related STEM field required

Desired Qualifications*

  • Master's degree or prior research experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with primary neuronal cultures
  • Knowledge of endosomal trafficking, Rab protein pathways, or intracellular transport systems
  • Familiarity with optical trapping, HILO microscopy, or biophysical force measurements
  • Exposure to machine learning methods such as LSTM, GANs, PCA, or predictive modeling
  • Experience with proteomics workflows and sequencing data interpretation
  • Understanding of neuroinflammation, stroke biology, or neurovascular unit signaling
