The Mohs Ambulatory Care Unit is a high-volume outpatient skin cancer surgical unit seeking a skilled and dedicated Histotechnician to join our in-house laboratory team. In this role, the Histotechnician will work closely with Mohs surgeons and laboratory staff to process surgical tissue specimens using a cryostat machine.
This position is essential to the delivery of timely, high-quality patient care. The Histotechnician prepares pathology slides that allow surgeons to evaluate tissue margins in real time and determine whether the patient requires additional treatment during the same visit. The role also supports day-of-surgery readiness by helping ensure outside pathology results and relevant clinical information are available for provider review. This role is great for a mid-career technician who wants to advance specific skills and observe real-time results for the patients that they process, all while supporting a continually recognized ?high-performing? clinical unit.
