About the experience:
As a paraprofessional member of the Student Life team, the Civic Engagement Democracy Fellow will help with logistics, program planning, and support for our civic engagement initiatives, specifically democracy based programming that empowers students to create change in their communities. The role will provide an opportunity to learn new skills and enhance existing ones, while supporting the office?s professional staff and enhancing the campus community. This position will primarily focus on raising voter engagement and education, and election awareness and turnout on our campus.
This position will provide support and coordination for the Office of Student Life?s sponsored student organization, Turn Up Turnout.
The Civic Engagement Democracy Fellow will report to the Coordinator of Civic Engagement and the overall Student Life team, and can anticipate an average of 10 hours per week, supporting initiatives for Midterm Elections, and programming including Civic Action Week, National Voter Registration Day, and more during the Fall 2026 Semester. The spring semester will not be as busy with an average of 6-8 hours a week.
