This is a term-limited one year position. The applicant will be involved in research projects, and will have opportunities to make original scientific contributions, interpret and analyze results under the guidance of other senior researchers in the lab. The applicant will carry out analyses of interactions between proteins, and between proteins and anionic polymers, using methods including spectroscopy, polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, immunoblotting and affinity chromatography.
In addition, candidates will be expected to provide lab management support in the form of routine laboratory maintenance, record keeping, and compliance with University of Michigan regulations. The candidate will also mentor and assist students with research techniques and the use of instruments to help advance the research objectives of the laboratory.
