Job Summary

 

The Hammoud Laboratory in the Department of Human Genetics at the University of Michigan Medical School is seeking to bring on a temporary Research Assistant over the summer to assist with ZCWPW1 Organizes Telomeric Architecture to Drive Meiotic Chromosome Movements.  The selected individuals would work up to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities*

 
  • Complete appropriate lab safety training
  • Follow all instructions as directed by the PI, Lab Manager or Senior Postdoc in the lab
  • Complete experiments to examine the role of ZCWPW1 in oocytes
  • Record data clearly in a lab notebook
  • Share recorded data with PI

Required Qualifications*

 
  • PhD Degree
  • Experience Working with the ZCWPW1 gene
  • Able to work well independently and as a group
  • Strong written communication skills
