The role involves data review, testing, documentation, and project coordination while providing hands-on experience with real-world operational data, Network Operations Center (NOC) workflows, and software development practices like code reviews and change management.</span></span></p>
 

  • Assist the Software Development team in designing and developing an MCP source for RT ticket history
  • Support development and deployment of an AI-powered search proof of concept for ticket analysis
  • Assist with data review, testing, and documentation
  • Support meeting coordination, progress tracking, and reporting
  • Participate in code reviews and change management processes
 

  • Currently pursuing a college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Interest in AI/ML, data analysis, and network operations
  • Basic programming or scripting knowledge preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
 

  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts and AI-assisted search tools
  • Experience working with real-world ticketing and operational data
  • Understanding of NOC operations and outage management workflows
  • Hands-on experience in software development, testing, and deployment
  • Exposure to technical documentation and project coordination
 

 

Working hours must be on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between 9am-5pm. This role will be supported as a hybrid work opportunity. 

This position is part of Merit?s summer internship program, which runs from the week of June 15, 2026 through the week of August 21, 2026. Interns are expected to work up to 20 hours per week throughout the duration of the program. Work schedules will be established in alignment with team needs and intern availability.
