Applicants should be prepared for a tryout/audition model for the selection process, which will require you to wear the Bruce the Goose costume and demonstrate how you would embody the persona at events.

The UM-Dearborn Student Activities Board is seeking personable, hard-working, energetic students to serve in the position of Bruce the Goose. 

The Bruce the Goose Personality/Actor will be in charge of the costume and make appearances at events on and off campus to energize event attendees.

As Bruce the Goose you will enhance the school spirit of the Dearborn Wolverines at events and across the university. 

• Attend specified events to meet and greet students
• Attend photo opportunities in and around the event venue, and encourage crowd participation
• Embody Bruce the Goose and fulfill all the responsibilities assigned by the member engagement lead 
• You will be required to maintain the integrity of their costumes, including keeping the costume clean and communicating if repairs/cleaning is needed
• Maintain confidentiality of your identity as Bruce the Goose
• Represent the university at various social, alumni, and community events
• Being responsible and accountable to appearance schedules -- arriving on time and remaining for the duration of a shift
• Other tasks as assigned

• Must be enrolled as a student at UM-Dearborn. 
• Must be able to perform in a full costume for 30 minutes at a time.
• Must be able to carry the weight of a full costume character for up to 30 minutes at a time while performing the role.
• Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, bending, standing, walking, and dancing. 
• Fan-friendly and outgoing individual with a dynamic personality, while in costume.
• Able to carry out physical work, and work in a costume.   
• Must be able to appropriately fit in the Bruce the Goose costume
• Willing to learn and improve skills.
