Required Qualifications*

 
  • Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan
  • Bachelor?s degree in nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two or more years of RN experience, with at least two years directly related to the care of adult medical and surgical patients in an acute care inpatient setting
  • Experience as a Charge Nurse, Preceptor, and/or participation in unit- or organizational-level committees

Actual RSAM LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
RSAM levels range from ENC-COMPETENT NE to ENC-EXPERT NE TO ENC-MASTERY+

Modes of Work

Work Schedule

 

Hours: 40 hours/week

Shift/Hours/Days: Primarily Day Shift. Must be flexible to meet the needs of the unit across all shifts, including evening and night shift hours, as determined by leadership, institutional priorities, and unit needs. 

The 6A ENC will be 80% productive and 20% nonproductive.

Location: University Hospital ? 6A, a 32-bed General Medicine acute care inpatient unit.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
