Job Summary

 

Michigan Medicine is seeking to recruit an active Staff Psychologist in the Mental Health Service at the VA Ann Arbor Health System (VAAAHS) to become a Michigan Medicine (MM) faculty member to provide training to residents during their VA rotation. The incumbent is expected to have 0% effort and no benefits at MM and it is not anticipated to see any MM psychiatry patients or be credentialed at MM.

Required Qualifications*

 
  • Currently employed at VAAAHS as a licensed professional psychologist in a Staff Psychologist role.

     

  • All detailed requirements required to be a Staff Psychologist at the VAAAHS have been met and the Staff Psychologist is in good standing with the VAAAHS.

     

  • Meet Clinical Psychologist requirements at MM which include: 
    • PhD/Psy.D in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an from an APA- or CPA accredited clinical psychology program with an APA- or CPA-accredited internship.
    • Completion of a postdoctoral fellowship in Psychology
    • Candidates must be currently licensed and/or eligible for a Michigan full license to practice clinical psychology.
    • Board-certified or eligible for certification in Clinical Psychology

This position is posted as Clinical Instructor/Clinical Assistant Professor. The rank of the selected candidate will depend upon candidate's qualifications.

Background Screening

 

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.

In addition to the screenings indicated above under Michigan law, a criminal history check including fingerprinting is required as a condition of transfer or employment for this position.
