The primary mission of the University of Michigan Medical School Office of Research is to foster an environment of innovation and efficiency that serves the Medical School research community and supports biomedical science from insight to impact. To that end, our team is constantly striving to enhance the research enterprise, including maintaining an investigator-focused infrastructure, facilitating and diversifying investigators' avenues for funding, and streamlining research processes.
The Medical School Office of Research has numerous reporting units and programs such as the Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR), the Clinical Research Calendar Review & Analysis Office (CRAO), the Fast Forward Medical Innovation, the Biomedical Research Core Facilities (BRCF), the Institutional Review Board (IRB Med), and the Medical School Grant Services & Analysis Office. Together, these teams provide the necessary support to position our researchers for success.
The Medical School Grant Services & Analysis Office handles the MM data capture of externally sponsored projects for Michigan Medicine for proposals and awards and works with units and project teams to address reporting based on institutional and sponsor available data. These data sets and reporting help the school, departments, and administration understand the current landscape and financial impact to MM.
We are seeking an individual to provide data entry of MM external sponsor proposals for use in data reporting. This includes daily entry of data and additional validation through the use of exception reports. This person will be responsible for all direct entry and maintenance of data and provide confirmation that the data is valid.
Finally, the person will work with senior research data analyst to provide information to MM systems, including the MM Data Warehouse which feeds the MM data reports available through MStat and MDash. They may also execute standard queries to produce reports within the MM administrative research data domains.
