Job Summary

 

The Domino's Farms Metabolism, Endocrinology & Diabetes (MEND)/ Podiatry Clinic is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, patient-oriented Medical Assistant/Associate to assist in our Endocrinology Department. The Medical Assistant will provide clinical assistance by taking vital signs, performing POC testing and assisting physicians as needed.  They will escort patients to exam rooms and enter medical history into the patient's chart.  They will also handle a variety of administrative tasks, assisting with patient paperwork, medication requests, obtaining outside records, etc.  Employees at the Domino's Farms location will also enjoy the perks of our off-site location, including free parking, an on-site cafeteria and an on-site gym. Union Affiliation

 

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.

Background Screening

 

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
