Michigan Medicine Department of Neurology is seeking a clinical instructor for its advance NeuroSports training program
We expect your clinical responsibilities will comprise of:
NeuroSport outpatient clinic supervised by NeuroSport attending physicians. Time spent in the NeuroSport outpatient clinic varies depending on athletic department responsibilities but is anticipated to be an average of 6 half days per week at the Burlington and Brighton for Specialty Care NeuroSport locations.
2 half days per week of independent, general neurology clinic. A clinic session is defined as 4 hours.
You are expected to be involved in the following to perform on site neurological pre- participation evaluations and Sport Neurology care at Eastern Michigan University (EMU) (offsite) and act as the point person for Sports Neurology care. These duties include the following:
Provide supervised Sports Neurology care to all EMU athletes, on weekdays and weekends as dictated by care needs. It is anticipated that will include a regularly scheduled weekly clinic in the EMU training room, but as needed in person and electronic clinical care is expected outside of this block as needed.
Be available to EMU athletic trainers, which will include weekend coverage as needed
During football season, it is anticipated that you provide home and away sideline football coverage.
