Summary
The Interpersonal Violence Research Laboratory (IVRL) at the University of Michigan seeks a licensed clinical professional to provide clinical safety oversight and consultation for several community based programs serving Indigenous youth, families, and adults on the Pine Ridge Reservation. These initiatives focus on empowerment, violence prevention, family support, and mental health promotion.
The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct clinical safety screenings and provide consultation related to participant wellbeing within research and program activities. For clinicians with experience or interest in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), there are opportunities to contribute to adaptation of programming that integrates CBT/DBT-informed coping and regulation strategies within empowerment-based interventions. The position is fully remote, with occasional travel to Rapid City and Pine Ridge, South Dakota.
Licensure: Licensure in South Dakota is preferred but not required. The successful candidate must be able to conduct remote clinical safety screenings and provide consultation related to participants located in South Dakota.
Travel: Occasional travel to Pine Ridge, South Dakota (approximately 1-2 trips per year) may be requested to support program activities and team collaboration.
