About the Prevention Research Collaborative
The mission of the PRC is to promote safe and healthy futures through prevention research, training, and outreach. Alongside community partners, we work to reduce inequities and empower communities for better health. We have developed strong and committed partnerships among community-based organizations, health departments, health advocacy groups, health service providers, and academic institutions. PRC projects are often conducted with state and local partner organizations to improve health and safety.
About the Department of Health Behavior and Health Equity
This position will be based in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Equity (HBHE) at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Driven by a shared passion for affecting lasting change, the faculty, students and staff of HBHE work in the pursuit of an equitable, healthy future for all. Turning theory and research into actionable practice, we develop interventions and innovations that promote health, prevent disease, empower people to manage chronic illness and disabilities, and facilitate collective action for social change. Together, our academic community transforms the theoretical into actionable, the science into the social, applying our knowledge to eliminate health disparities and impact lives for the better.
