Job Summary

 

The O'Meara lab is looking for a researcher to conduct large-scale virtual screening at a medically relevant protein target. The position will require familiarity with computational biophysics, chemoinformatics, and conducting and analyzing computational simulations and high-performance computing.

Responsibilities*

 

?    Conduct routine research activities to support ongoing projects, including literature reviews and library-based research.
?    Assist with group observation activities and document relevant behavioral or experimental observations.
?    Administer surveys, questionnaires, and structured assessments in accordance with established research protocols.
?    Conduct interviews with study participants and accurately record responses.
?    Participate in experimental procedures and assist with the implementation of research protocols.
?    Collect, organize, and manage research data from multiple sources.
?    Perform data entry, coding, tabulation, and preliminary analysis to support research objectives.
?    Set up, maintain, and operate laboratory equipment and computer-based research or programming systems.
?    Ensure accurate documentation of research activities, procedures, and results.
?    Maintain organized research records and databases in accordance with project guidelines.
?    Follow established safety procedures, ethical standards, and institutional research compliance requirements.
?    Collaborate with research team members to support the successful completion of project tasks and timelines.

Required Qualifications*

 

?    Graduation from a college or university or an equivalent combination of education experience
?    Desired qualification: MS in Bioinformatics or closely related field

Background Screening
