Job Summary

 

The Office of Counseling and Workplace Resilience (OCWR) in Michigan Medicine is looking for candidates to fill a Workplace Resilience Program Assistant position to support the mission of caring for the emotional health and well-being of Michigan Medicine faculty, staff, house officers, and medical learners. Reporting to the Director of the Office of Counseling and Workpace Resilience, you will work collaboratively to provide responsible administrative, operational, and project coordination support to the clinical staff and OCWR leadership. Your work will support important programs and outreach strategies for the OCWR team, including COMPASS Peer Support Network and Stress First Aid. You will report to the Director of OCWR.
 

The Workplace Resilience Program Assistant will be an integral member of a compassionate, committed, multi-theoretical mental health team, striving to provide thoughtful clinical services, outreach, and education to our Michigan Medicine community.

Responsibilities*

 
  • Provide operational, logistical, and calendaring support for behavioral health outreach and training programs (e.g., COMPASS, Stress First Aid).
  • Develop a digital library of toolkits, program materials, and databases for internal and external mental health resources.
  • Deliver high-level administrative assistance to the leadership team, including calendar management, committee support, and the preparation of agendas, minutes, and presentations.
  • Coordinate website and SharePoint updates, create promotional content, and represent the office at outreach events.
  • Support program improvement by authoring surveys, managing databases, conducting literature searches, and assisting with data reporting.
  • Be an initial contact for clients, providing compassionate screening and evaluation of inquiries while managing scheduling and crisis escalation.
  • Maintain strict HIPAA confidentiality and manage clinical workflows, assessments, and documentation within the electronic health record system.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to expand projects and maintain referral resource networks.

Required Qualifications*

 
  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of four years of administrative experience.
  • Minimum of one year project coordination or project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with program evaluation or data collection and management.
  • Ability and initiative to work independently and creatively.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, diverse, and fast-paced environment.
  • Established computing skills, such as Microsoft Office 365, Google documents, Dropbox, design tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Adobe, Canva), and project management tools (e.g., Asana).

Work Locations

 

Will require travel to multiple locations on & off campus.
