Hourly range for Registered Nurses $41.78-$64.81/ hour  


Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour 

Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour

Day Shift Weekend Differential- $2.90 / hour

Evening Shift Weekend Differential- $5.90 / hour

Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour

 Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

Responsibilities*

 
  • Organize and manage multiple interventions simultaneously.
  • Problem solve collaboratively with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Perform phone triage, including assessment, screening, clinical advice, nurse visits (in-person/video), in-clinic procedures, and other assigned duties.
  • Deliver culturally sensitive, age-specific care using team-based nursing models.
  • Document nursing care accurately and efficiently.
  • Utilize internal and external resources appropriately.
  • Provide functional supervision to assistive personnel and collaborate with colleagues, other disciplines, and health/community services to promote continuity of care.
  • Other duties as assigned..
  • Manage patient triage, clinical follow-ups, and support face-to-face and remote clinic workflows.
  • Educate patients and families, develop individualized teaching plans, and adapt approaches to readiness and understanding.
  • Uphold hospital protocols, participate in quality improvement, and collaborate to improve patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking, organization, communication, and technological proficiency.
  • Additional responsibilities as required by departmental needs.
  • Communicate empathetically and collaboratively, involving patients/families in care planning.
  • Maintain supportive, constructive relationships with team members; address conflicts constructively, and delegate tasks appropriately.

Nursing Specific Info

 

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.

Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.

Required Qualifications*

 

  • Current RN Licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan
  • Minimum of three years of recent (within the past 5 years) clinical pediatric experience as a RN including experience caring for pediatric surgical patients.

Desired Qualifications*

 
  • RN experience with Phone Triage in an ambulatory care setting      
  • BSN
  • Certification in Ambulatory Nursing

Work Schedule

 

Hours/Week: 20 hrs, 0.5 FTE

Days: Day shift. Day shift, Monday through Friday, with possibility for evenings, weekends and holidays based on clinic needs. Flexibility is required.

Location: C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, Ambulatory Care Services, Pediatric Craniofacial/Plastics Clinic

 

 

Note: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
