Job Summary

 

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Michigan-Dearborn invites applications for college instructors and college assistants for the 2026 Super Saturdays at UM-Dearborn program. The prerequisite for this position is that the applicant is either currently in college as of 3/1/2026, and has participated in Math Corps at UM-Dearborn. The applicant must have high grades (on supplied school transcript) in mathematics courses.  

 

Students will be required to mentor a team of ten middle school students and five high school students. This involves monitoring the students throughout the day, grading assignments and recording grades, and supervising students at afternoon activities.

Responsibilities*

 

College instructors and assistants will be directly responsible for mentoring a team of middle school and high school kids. The key responsibilities of this position are: 

  • Developing a strong mathematical relationship with their team. 
  • Monitor students throughout the day. 

Work Schedule

 

Super Saturdays program will run Saturdays only from 9:00AM - 12:30PM.

The program dates are March 28, April 4, 11, 18, and 25.
