A Research Laboratory Technician Intermediate position is available in the Edwards Lab at the University of Michigan in the Department of Cell & Developmental Biology (CDB). We use a combination of developmental biology models including Xenopus (frog), mouse, and pluripotent stem cells, gene editing, and microscopy techniques to investigate the disease genetics and developmental biology of the trachea ("windpipe") and esophagus ("food pipe"). We are seeking a laboratory technician who will manage the lab's mouse colony and assist with ongoing experiments for the lab's mouse projects. Working under the guidance of Dr. Nicole Edwards, the Principal Investigator, the candidate will gain expertise in routine techniques including mouse colony management, genotyping, histology, immunostaining, and fluorescence microscopy.
This position is ideal for a graduating college senior looking for full time work and looking to gain laboratory experience and skills. The start date for this position is no earlier than May 1st, 2026.
