Job Summary

 

Zero to Thrive is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented part-time Research Assistant to support two ongoing research projects focused on prenatal stress and parent-child development. The Research Assistant will assist with participant visits, data collection and management, participant communications, and neuroimaging procedures.

Responsibilities*

 

Prenatal Stress Study Responsibilities:

  • Assist with scheduling and running in-person and remote participant visits
  • Support collection of biological samples (saliva) and behavioral tasks during visits
  • Conduct participant check-in and follow-up calls/texts
  • Download, organize, and securely store study data
  • Assist with data entry and filing
  • Provide general administrative support to the study team as needed


P2 Study Responsibilities:

  • Assist with running EEG and fMRI study visit 
  • Support participant recruitment, scheduling, and ongoing communication
  • Administer or assist with surveys
  • Prepare study materials and help maintain organized research records
  • Assist with data management

Required Qualifications*

 
  • Interest in maternal or child mental health.
  • Experience conducting clinical research studies required, including experience working with teams to implement study protocol during clinical study visits.
  • Must be exceptionally detail oriented as EEG administration requires adherence to strict protocols.
  • Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • The ability to quickly build rapport and make participants feel comfortable is essential.
  • A successful candidate would be highly flexible and able to adjust to changes as needed.
  • Ability to work well in team environment and independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to track and document with extreme accuracy

Some flexibility in schedule is necessary for the role, including weekends and evenings.

20 hours/week, mostly M-F 9-5, however some flexibility in schedule is necessary for the role, including weekends and evenings.

Work Locations

 

This is an in-person position located at the Rachel Upjohn Building in Ann Arbor.

Background Screening
