BMC2 is a collaborative consortium dedicated to improving the quality of care and outcomes in patients who undergo cardiovascular procedures across the State of Michigan. BMC2 is developing a new heart failure registry, which will take a population health-based approach to measuring outcomes and improving quality of care for patients with heart failure. The new registry will bring together diverse stakeholders including patients, specialists, primary care physicians, and pharmacists. Support for BMC2 is provided by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network as part of the BCBSM Value Partnerships Program.
We seek a Data Architect Lead (Data Scientist) to drive the design and optimization of our registrys data infrastructure, analytics, and reporting capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to blend data science, architecture, and biomedical expertise in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.
Under limited direction, the Data Scientist will design and construct relational databases for data warehousing of the new BMC2 Heart Failure Registry. This role will develop data modeling and is responsible for data acquisition; access analysis and design; and archive, recovery, and load strategy design. Working with the BMC2 senior programming team, the Data Scientist will be responsible for designing and deploying a new model for data flow and ensuring its alignment with overarching quality goals.
