Physical Requirements:
The Medical Technologist must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time or walk for portions of the workday and sit for extended periods during microscope work and instrument operation. Frequent fine motor activity including pipetting, slide manipulation, and keyboarding is required. The role requires transporting objects weighing up to 25 pounds, occasional bending or stooping to access equipment, and the ability to reach supplies at times above shoulder level. Clear near-vision acuity and sustained visual focus are essential for microscopic examination, slide evaluation, and interpretation of test reactions. Routine exposure to biohazardous materials necessitates the use of appropriate PPE.

Selected candidates whose start date is 4/1/2026 or after, will not be eligible for the university FY26-27 salary/merit plan unless otherwise notified.
