The Department of Epidemiology at the University of Michigan, School of Public Health (UM) is seeking a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to join multiple projects in LGBTQ+ health equity, specializing in transgender and gender diverse population health, led by Dr. Sari Reisner. The projects are focused on HIV prevention, mental health, community-engaged research methods, and the social and contextual factors that shape health and contribute to health inequities.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a mentored research agenda while contributing to ongoing studies. Core responsibilities include: leading and co-authoring peer-reviewed manuscripts; designing and conducting quantitative and/or qualitative data analyses; contributing to grant writing and the development of new research proposals; presenting findings at scientific conferences; supporting community engagement and recruitment activities; and mentoring students. The person who fills this position should have interest in LGBTQ+ health equity and thrive collaborating with interdisciplinary and multisite public health teams.
