The Marsal Family School of Education at the University of Michigan seeks to appoint a Clinical Assistant Professor in Educational Studies with deep expertise in educational innovation, organizational and school leadership, and extensive experience in online teaching and educational leadership. This faculty member will serve as a core contributor to the growth and success of the School's new, fully online, asynchronous Master of Arts in Leading Educational Innovation and Transformation (eLEIT) program. In this role, the successful candidate will help shape the vision, structure, and delivery of a rigorous and practice-oriented curriculum designed for educators and leaders seeking to transform PK-12 and related educational systems. They will collaborate closely with faculty colleagues and instructional design teams to develop high-quality online courses, support the learning of diverse adult students, and ensure that the eLEIT program reflects emerging research, innovative leadership practices, and the Marsal School's commitments to equity, access, and professional excellence.
EDUCATIONAL STUDIES
Educational Studies has an internationally recognized faculty committed to: the study of how technologies and other educational innovations enhance teaching and learning, effective teaching in the core disciplines, the social and political contexts and the historical and philosophical foundations of schooling, the study and advancement of equity and social justice in school and out of school settings, and the use of evidence to shape education policy and public discussions on curriculum, teaching, and achievement. Graduates of our program become engaged in academic and research careers in university programs, research organizations, or public agencies; administrative positions in school systems, educational centers, or national, regional, and state agencies; and in teacher education, professional development, and curriculum positions in local and state systems and educational companies, as well as for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.
