We seek an energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to work in a laboratory that uses the model organism, Drosophila melanogaster (the common fruit fly) to study genetic aspects of aging. The job entails cooking fly food, an agar-based sugar and yeast mix, in a small kitchen set up with cooking kettles, then distributing the food into vials. To perform the duties requires 6-8 hours, two days per week, plus the possibility of one or two half-days, depending on requirements.
