Job Summary

This full-time position manages and oversees the advising and admissions process and provides administrative support for the UM-Flint Department of Public Health and Health Sciences, Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice Entry-Level Program (DNAP). Serving as the first point of contact for prospective applicants, the person in this role ensures that each applicant receives prompt, accurate and personalized guidance. This position reports directly to the Program Director.

Responsibilities*

Admissions & Onboarding Management

  • Lead and manage the DNAP Program admissions process to enhance prospective student communications and application guidance.
  • Manage application reviews and student interviews.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new students, conducting compliance checks and maintaining records.

Program/Student Support

  • Act as the main point of contact for students, faculty, and stakeholders, advising on admissions, program milestones, and operational matters.
  • Manage course schedules and program communications; oversee surveys, assessment tools, and training for support staff.
  • Handle procurement and inventory of program resources, technical support needs, data management, and compliance.
  • Provide leadership on grant processes and maintain up-to-date workflow documentation.

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Planning and execution of key program events, including graduation, orientation, committee meetings, and wellness initiatives.
  • Supervise event logistics and manage faculty travel arrangements.
  • Oversee program photography for students, faculty, and staff.

Required Qualifications*

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum four (4) years administrative support experience
  • Minimum Two (2) years customer service or student services experience
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and analyzing complex spreadsheets
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace

Modes of Work

Hybrid

The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
