Job Summary

The Prevention Research Collaborative, based in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Equity (HBHE) at the University of Michigan School of Public Health is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced research project manager to coordinate and support the day-to-day operations for the Healthy Minds Network (HMN). The Prevention Research Collaborative (PRC) brings together research teams from the CDC-funded Prevention Research Center, Michigan Youth Violence Prevention Center, Healthy Minds Network, Housing and Health Equity Solutions, and several affiliated federally funded research initiatives focusing on school and community-based approaches to promoting safe, healthy, and equitable communities.

The Healthy Minds Network is one of the nation's premier research organizations contributing to adolescent and young adult mental health.  HMN is dedicated to improving the mental and emotional well-being of young people through innovative, multidisciplinary scholarship. HMN spans coast to coast with our principal investigators at the University of California-Los Angeles, the University of Michigan, Wayne State University, and Boston University. Our network proudly serves as a resource for post-secondary education administrators, students, researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and the greater public. For over 15 years, the Healthy Minds network has administered the Healthy Minds Study (HMS), a population-level survey of post-secondary student mental health.  Over 935,000 responses from students at more than 675 colleges and universities have been gathered. In the past few years, the network's research efforts have expanded into other facets of mental health in educational settings, including the role and health of faculty and staff.

The HMN Operations Lead will work closely with the HMN Director, PRC Managing Director and Administrative staff to coordinate and support the day-to-day administrative operations for the Healthy Minds Study. This includes interfacing with participating institutions, training and onboarding new study coordinator staff, support and coordination of student assistants, assisting with budgeting and financial operations, and developing processes and procedures for efficient study coordination. As part of the Prevention Research Collaborative, this position will also participate in PRC initiatives and will contribute to the overall mission of the Collaborative.
